Nestled in the heart of St. Louis County, Seeds of Hope Farm is more than just a place to grow food—it’s a hub of innovation where science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) meet sustainable agriculture. As part of the Community Action Agency of St. Louis County (CAASTLC), our farm is committed to empowering the community through education, engagement, and hands-on learning.
Bridging STEM and Agriculture
Seeds of Hope Farm, a project of Community Action Agency of St Louis County, Inc. (CAASTLC) offers learning experiences in an outdoor classroom setting for schools and Community groups. Our STEM curriculum features lessons developed by the University of Missouri St Louis college of Education, Seed St Louis, and Edible Schoolyard.
Immersive and experiential learning challenges young students to engage with the living world around them and to observe with all their senses. A wide array of lessons provide memorable hands-on learning to compliment school curriculum and boost the likelihood of students’ academic success and education attainment.
Staff certifications include Life Lab Outdoor Educators, Missouri Master Naturalist, and Illinois Master Gardener. CAASTLC’s Seeds of Hope Farm has been awarded a level 1 Accreditation by The Arbnet Arboretum Accreditation Program, for achieving standards of professional practices deemed important for arborea and botanic gardens.
