I have enjoyed the fruits/vegetables of the labor from the crew in Spanish Lake. I appreciated being introduced to new foods, especially when complemented with a recipe in the newsletter and sometimes from searching on line. It’s important to have fresh food straight from the earth., food that didn’t travel for days to get to my plate.
I enjoyed reading the newsletters. They were almost poetic. It kept me aware of what was happening on the farm, not just with the vegetation, but with the weather, the native creatures, the sounds, and so on.
Thanks to Farmer Jake and Crew for my wonderful 2 years. Keep up the good work. Have a wonderful winter. “SEE YOU IN 2022”
Does the braised eggplant recipe really use 4 cups of soy sauce? Or is it a typo — I’m guessing 1/4 cup.
Sounds good, if it’s the later. Thanks!
Judy thanks for the catch! Yes, 1/4 cup. I am going to edit the newsletter and reupload here
